The Beat Museum 2008 Poetry Contest

Instructions and Entry Form

There will one Poet of the Month selected for each month in 2008. The monthly winner for each of the twelve months of 2008 will receive a cash prize of $100, publication of 3 poems in a poetry anthology from The Beat Museum Press, and eligibility for the Poet of the Year prize.

A panel of nationally renowned poets will choose the Poet of the Year from the 12 Poet of the Month winners. The Beat Museum Poet of the Year will receive a cash prize of $1,000 and publication of up to 10 poems in a poetry anthology from The Beat Museum Press.

There will be honorable mentions every month. The number will vary month to month based on recommendation of the judges. All poets who receive honorable mentions may submit up to three poems for the following month without charge, and will be published on The Beat Museum web site.
